Hipster Status.

Hello my internet friends, I hope this post finds your day going insanely cray (the good, cool hipster type of cray). Something not many of you know is that I used to skateboard. A recent convo between me and a good friend of mine, has influenced me to start skating again! I've thought about this for a while now, and figured I have more to gain than lose if I take this up. Here's a descriptive chart I made to show you how I see this situation could turn out:

Pros:

•Gaining the attention of a specific douchebag I have history with

•Feeling the satisfaction of proving the sexist stereotypical people wrong

•Taking up a new hobby

•I'll look like a hipster

•I won't be as invisible to everyone else as I have always been

Cons:

•I could abuse the usage of important body parts due to accidents skateboarding can cause

•I could hurt myself so bad that I would be out for a whole soccer season

•Inheriting a false reputation as your typical skateboarder (smoking, vandalism, etc.)

PROS: 5
CONS: 3

DING DING DING, WE HAVE A WINNER! PROS TAKES HOME THE GOLD!

Now, don't get me wrong; I don't care what other people think of me. I personally think people should get to know a person before they make assumptions as to what kind of person they are, and then share those assumptions/opinions with other people. But my family doesn't have faith in me, so if they ever hear anything related to "I bet Olive smokes." or "she hangs around *insert skateboarder's name here*, so she must smoke.", i'm toast, dead meat, as done as Hanna Montana's career, etc.

If you have any comments on this subject, then please share them below and we can have one of those educated debate type things, because we're fucking civilized ladies/gentlemen.

Ok bye
